Lead Engine

Frequently asked questions about Lead Engine.

Straight answers about how leads are found, verified and reviewed, how pricing works, and how email outreach fits in.

Lead Engine finds local businesses on Google Maps, verifies their contact details, scores how well each fits what you sell, shows you the evidence, and lets you email them from your own mailbox. It's built for agencies, recruiters, service providers and B2B sales teams.

Those are databases: you get access and do the filtering yourself. We do the filtering before you ever see the list: verification, playbook scoring and review all happen first, and you get the reasoning for every lead.

From public sources: Google Maps listings and the businesses' own websites. Each lead's website is read for its email address, phone number, contact page and social profiles, so contact details come from the business itself.

Every lead passes 9 structural checks on its email, website and phone details. That's a genuine trust signal, but it isn't a guarantee an email will land in an inbox, and we won't tell you it is.

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Every check, score and playbook rule here is deterministic and explainable: you can see exactly why a lead qualified. Any outreach you send is written by you: we don't generate or rewrite it.

You can search any city or country. Pick from the business categories curated for your goal, and request a new one from your dashboard if yours isn't listed. 13 countries have a curated list of major cities for country-wide campaigns, and every other country uses a population-ranked city list.

A playbook defines what a good lead looks like for what you sell. There are 7, covering web design, SEO, social media, marketing agencies, commercial local services, recruiting and consulting, plus a research mode for clean data with no fit assumptions. Every playbook excludes businesses in your own industry.

Yes, on the Agency plan. A custom playbook lets you pick a base playbook and add your own excluded categories and keywords. On every plan you can set criteria such as minimum reviews, a rating range, and whether a website or email is required.

We take steps to avoid it: a business already delivered to one client is held back from a direct competitor in the same category. It isn't exclusivity, and we don't claim it is.

Every lead is reviewed before delivery. High-confidence leads are approved automatically, low-confidence leads are rejected early, and anything ambiguous waits for a person. Automated and human decisions go to the same audit trail.

You can approve pending leads yourself, one at a time or in bulk, from your campaign page. Rejecting a lead stays with our team, so a quality decision is never made by accident.

Campaigns share a queue, so timing depends on how many are ahead of yours and how narrow your targeting is. Qualified leads appear as soon as they clear review, and you can see your place in the queue at any time. Each campaign is capped at 100 leads; start another one to keep going.

A multi-sheet Excel workbook: a client-ready lead report, a sales-ready leads sheet, a full review export and a batch performance sheet, with the evidence attached to every row. Pro and Agency plans can also download CSV.

Leads are flagged when their data or last website scan is older than a set window (30 days by default). Freshness tracking is included from the Growth plan, and rechecks you can trigger yourself come with Pro and Agency.

Not yet, and we won't claim otherwise. You export to Excel or CSV and import into whatever CRM you already use.

No. 10 leads, instant activation, no card touches the signup flow at all.

Upgrade any time, directly from your dashboard. No support ticket and no sales call required.

Paid plans are billed monthly through a Payoneer payment request sent to your account email, and your plan activates once payment is confirmed. No card details are collected. You can cancel from your dashboard at any time, keep access for the period you've paid for, and no further payment request is sent.

Team seats depend on the plan: Starter 1, Growth 2, Pro 5, Agency / Custom 10. The Agency plan also adds client workspaces, so you can organise campaigns by end-client under one account.

Access to accounts and settings is protected, changes are logged, and your data is backed up. No card or bank details are collected or stored by the platform.

Yes, on every paid plan. Connect your own mailbox (Gmail, or an address on your own domain), write a first email and up to four follow-ups, choose the leads you've approved, and start. The free trial includes 10 emails in total, a one-time allowance that does not renew; paid plans send as many emails a month as their lead allowance.

Yes. They go out from your own mailbox, so recipients see your name and address, and their replies arrive in your normal inbox. Nothing is sent from a Lead Engine address.

No. You write your own emails and choose when to start. You can drop in each business's name, type of business and city, filled in from the lead's verified details. Beyond that we only add your postal address and an opt-out line.

Every email includes your business address and a line telling people they can reply STOP. Anyone who does is never emailed again, and neither is anyone whose address bounces. You are the sender, so you are responsible for following the rules that apply to you and your recipients. We build in the basics; we don't give legal advice.

Cold email always carries some risk, and we can't promise an email will reach an inbox. To keep the risk low, sending is paced (weekdays, 9:00 to 17:00, with a pause between emails), new mailboxes ramp up gradually, and a mailbox pauses automatically if too many emails bounce. We recommend a separate mailbox rather than your main business inbox.

As many per month as your plan's lead allowance, and every email counts, including follow-ups. Each mailbox also has a daily limit to protect it, and you can connect up to five mailboxes.
